In 2006 Q-O2 has grown from a contemporary musicgroup to a workspace for experimental contemporary music and soundart, based in Brussels. In musical terms Q-O2 explores mainly three lines of approach: acoustic and electronic improvisation and composed music as well as installations and soundart. Through its conceptual preoccupations Q-O2 finds easily points of access to other disciplines.Practically, Q-O2 workspace functions on three levels: by hosting artists on a working residency, by starting up and guiding projects in collaboration with other venues/art centres and by organising concerts on its own premises.

In 2006 is Q-O2 uitgegroeid van hedendaags muziekensemble tot werkplaats voor experimentele hedendaagse muziek en klankkunst, gelegen te Brussel. In muzikale termen worden in hoofdzaak drie gebieden geëxploreerd: akoestische en electronische improvisatie en gecomponeerde muziek alsook installatie en klankkunst. Door haar conceptuele uitgangspunten vindt Q-O2 ook toegangspoorten tot andere disciplines.
In de praktijk functioneert Q-O2 werkplaats op drie niveaus: het aanbieden van werkresidenties aan kunstenaars, het opstarten en begeleiden van projecten in samenwerking met andere organisaties en kunstencentra en het organiseren van concerten in de eigen ruimte.

En 2006, Q-O2 est passé d’un ensemble musique contemporaine à un laboratoire de musique contemporaine/expérimentale et d'art sonore, à Bruxelles. En termes musicaux, Q-O2 explore principalement trois terrains: l'improvisation, la musique composée - acoustique et électronique - ainsi que les installations et l'art sonore. A travers ses préoccupations d'ordre esthétique, Q-O2 s'intéresse naturellement aux croisements avec d'autres disciplines artistiques.
En pratique, les actions de Q-O2 werkplaats se déclinent selon 3 modes : offrir des résidences de travail aux artistes, initier et guider des projets en collaboration avec d'autres lieux/centres d’arts et organiser des concerts dans son propre espace.
