In Zennestraat 17, het voormalige labo van het ministerie van Economische Zaken, werd eind april 2009 een tijdelijke artistieke hub geopend. Tijdens BRXLBRAVO wordt er een gezamenlijk event ingezet met een cross-over van hedendaags werk van alle disciplines. Voor deze gelegenheid zullen verschillende kunstenwerkplaatsen bovenop de residerende organisaties het labo injecteren met meer experimentele artistieke besmettingen. Het platform kunstenwerkplaats.be zal er een artistieke cartografie, die de linken tussen kunstenaars, organisaties en de stad visualiseert, opzetten. Deze mapping zal ook uit zijn muren breken: Artist Walks gidsen het publiek van de Zennestraat naar BelleVue, eveneens een unieke site, tijdelijk omgebouwd tot een ‘creatieve brouwerij’, en het kruispunt tussen beide sites, de Ninoofse Poort, wordt terrein voor onverwachte artistieke acties.
Dans la rue de la Senne 17, l’ancien laboratoire d’essai du Ministère des Affaires Economiques, un ‘hub’ artistique temporaire s’est ouvert fin avril 2009. Pendant BRXLBRAVO, une exposition-événement collective sera mise sur pied avec des œuvres contemporaines de toutes disciplines. Pour l’occasion, plusieurs laboratoires artistiques rejoindront les organisations résidentes dans le labo afin de lui injecter une dose supplémentaire de contaminations artistiques expérimentales. De plus, la plateforme lab-art.be réalisera une cartographie artistique, permettant de visualiser les liens existant entre les artistes, les organisations et la ville. Cette cartographie sortira également en dehors de ses murs : des Artist Walks guideront le public de la rue de la Senne à BelleVue, un autre lieu unique métamorphosée en une ‘brasserie créative’, et le croisement entre ces deux lieux, la Porte de Ninove, sera terrain d’actions artistiques insolites.
In Zennestraat 17, the former laboratory of the Ministery of Economic Affairs, a temporary artistic hub was opened in April 2009. During BRXLBRAVO, a cross-over of contemporary work from all disciplines will be presented. Several workspaces will join forces with the resident organizations, to inject a supplementary dose of experimental art. The platform arts-lab.be will display an artistic cartography. This mapping will also break free from its walls: Artist Walks will guide the public from Zennestraat to BelleVue, another unique venue temporarily converted into a ‘creative brewery’, and the intersection between both locations, the Ninove Gate, will be an area of unexpected artistic interventions.
